I absolutely love the colours and such, the atmospheres really nice. But the I have to say, the anatomy isn't too great, her shoulder looks like it would be part of her neck, and her arm looks a little broken and when your doing a nude, you have to be especially careful with the anatomy because it's so much more noticeable when you get it wrong. Perhaps if the owl arm was moved to the left and back bit perhaps, it would look a little less broken whilst still retaining the pose. I think it might be the positioning of the face and the visible shoulder that's a bit off as well. When I imagined the owl arm resting on the thigh I realised the face would look much more like it was turned to look just over the shoulder, and you'd probably only see the edge of the other shoulder, the face and shoulder are facing too forward, and the arms facing too awkwardly. Hope I've been able to help, I find with any anatomic drawings, a life model or reference is essential.
I think the anatomy was done that way on purpose. Think about it. The owl, the girl, the title, Prey spotted. Owls are able to pretty much spin completely around, maybe that's the purpose. -shrugs-
that's a really good point actually and I totally see what you mean now (I really hope that is the intention too because that sounds really cool and conceptual ) that being said though the arm is still a little out of proportion, otherwise it would mean the top half of her arm is really short >.< I guess I'm just really picky about these things, I blame my life drawing lecturer for that haha xD I hope I haven't come across as really bitchy or mean, I do really like this picture, I love the eyes and the black circle-ness of them xD and how they mimic the circular shape of typical owl eyes. And I really hope that what I've said doesn't come across as one of those "advice-comment-but-really-an-insult" type things >.< Because I genuinely just hope to share feedback. At college we'd always have feedback sessions and stuff so I guess it's just a habit I've picked up.
